Dear Esteemed Directors, Honourable Chairs, Distinguished Delegates, and honoured guests,

My name is Annabelle, and it is with great pleasure and privilege that I  welcome you all to this year's ISPPMUN 2026 conference. With this year, forthcoming the 15th edition we entail for the conference to be extra special. Throughout the years, ISPPMUN has become a leading event which offers  the space for the youth to rise and collaborate, in the efforts to attack our world's most pressing issues, as compassionate, diplomatic global citizens. 

With there being both many rising and ongoing conflicts this year, it is with the utmost importance to remember the world which unites us, leading to this year's theme “Diplomacy in a Divided World”. In the midst of polarization, disputes and war, there is no better time than now to prioritize cooperation and discussion and provide those grounds for the younger generation with this theme enforcing the power of coming together as one world, with one future. 

We are thrilled to host you here in Phnom Penh, an ever developing city, filled with rich cultural and political history. May this conference bring forward fruitful debates, insightful conversations and respectful collaboration with enriching ideas that reach far beyond the conference walls.
